l’Apical is a project born in 2012 in the Penedès. The project is made up of Sergi Sevillano, Martí Giralt and Josep Badia .
Born in 2012 in El Penedès
Sergi Sevillano and Martí Giralt met at the Espiells School of Oenology and Viticulture , in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia. Both come from two different worlds. Sergi, from Barcelona, is a sommelier and restaurant technician, who had worked in different high-class restaurants and in some specialized wine shops, and wanted to go to Espiells to expand his wine and winemaking skills .
There, he met the Martí de Llorenç Penedès, who has always been surrounded by the world of wine. His father has been producing wine for more than 40 years in the area, and his grandfather also had a small family cava, and had accumulated experience in various areas, such as Penedès or Priorat .
They believed that their union with Martí, dedicated mostly to the technical part and the elaboration in l’Apical and Sergi , focusing on the administrative and commercial part, would make a good team.

This is Martí Giralt, he has always been in contact with the wine’s world, his father as well as his grandparents worked the land and produced wine. He has so many years of experience in different wine regions, such as Penedes or Priorat. He is the one that set the rhythm in the vineyards and the winery. He is like the orchestra conductor who directs our wines’ performance.

This is Sergi Sevillano, who deals with customers face-to-face and perfectly knows the customers first-hand. He is sommelier and an expert in the restaurant industry. He worked in different first-class restaurants and some wine shops. In order to increase his knowledges, he went to Espiells to study his degree in oenology and viticulture. He is the smile of our wines!

This is Josep Badia. He owns a great wealth of knowledge in the administrative world. In 2017 he decided to join the project, and this was how our todays’ limited liability company “Vividors del Vi, S.L” was born. Josep with all his experience and accuracy, provides our company with a business and serious appearance, focused on achieving results as quickly and efficiently as possible.
A team of three
In 2017, Josep, who has a great background in the world of management and administration, joined the project, and constituted the current company “ Vividors del Vi, SL .” Josep, with his experience and accuracy, brings a more entrepreneurial, serious and goal driven atmosphere. He is the trusted man of the company, supervising all the fiscal, administrative and legal fields.

It’s been 7 years now!
And we can show that our wines are having an excellent reception in the national market , including being placed in some menus from Michelin-starred restaurants . We plan to almost double the production next year.
